Stratford-upon-Avon
My parents came back for another visit!
Our first stop was the birthplace of Shakespeare. I wish I could say that was my main motivator in going there, but the truth is I found a road race to run. It was pretty cool to have one in such a historical location.
I ran the Shakespeare raceway 10K.
This was part of my training for my last marathon that I ran.
I was somewhere right in the middle of the people in the race, but there was hardly anyone around me. I ran another 6 miles after the race as part of training.

I recommend any bus tour, as long as you make sure you are VERY aware of the last pick-up time. Otherwise they might possibly leave you hanging out to dry. This happened to us and other tourists in our group, just pay better attention to the times then we did and you should be fine. Audio and live tours are both offered. I especially like these tours when you have the children with you. Everyone can stay safely on the bus while you get to drive by and see everything. You can also get on and off as you please. The link below is the company we used. There are other companies as well, you just have to find what suits you best.
