Brussels, Luxembourg, Germany!!

It would not be a true holiday
if the Saurman's didn't
venture on another
crazy trip!

We stopped in Brussels
for one night, it
was great.  (didn't get
any pictures though, woops).

Next stop was Luxembourg.
The boys do not like
putting their coats on...
so they freeze for the 30 sec.
picture...

Best part of trip (for me)...
visiting the American Cemetery
in Luxembourg.
Upon arrival to the grave sight
it was a wintry, serene wonderland.
The feeling couldn't escape
me that these soldiers
and their families
sacrificed so much
for us and many people.
Thank you, thank you,
thank you!
My heart was
swollen and
deeply overflowing
with extreme gratitude as
we walked through the
cemetery grounds.
 We are beyond
blessed to have such heroes
and their families make such
selfless sacrifices
for us!

General Patton's
grave.

There are over 5,000 American
servicemen burried here.

I wouldn't change
having visited
these grounds during the
freezing, freezing, wintry months.
It added
a beautiful
feeling of serenity
to the visit!

Onward to the next destination...
Germany!

We went and visited
some good friends who
recently moved there.
While I stayed home
(or at the hotel) sick AGAIN
from I believe the flu, AGAIN...
Luke was a fabulous dad
(nothing new)...
and he took ALL the kids
sledding...
you'll have to ask him
and LJ about
why LJ came home with some
bruising,
and "rug" burn.
...or in this case, snow/iceburn?

The blog wouldn't
let me post the action
pictures (I guess
the pictures are too much
action or something?)
Darn, there
was some SERIOUS air
caught on the sled!
Fun, fun times!
Glad to say
that LJ ended up being
okay from what sounded like
a very scary crash
on the sled!

  1. FUN! I love that you guys are doing so much travel! I'm living a bit through you....although your posts often make me want to move out there again just for the travel. But for now, I'll just enjoy reading about your adventures! Sorry to hear you were sick, that's no fun on a vacation.

  2. Hi! I'm not sure if you know me. I was in the Columbia 2nd Ward with you for a while. I live in Germany now, but we're moving to England this year. I was wondering where you live. If you have a chance, email me.
