ROMA!

Luke and I were thrilled to have a lovely weekend away together.  Our good friends, the Lines, took our kids for us.  We couldn't have done it without them!!  It has been really nice trading off taking eachothers kids for enjoyable little trips.  While the kids had a really good time with their friends (and were happy to NOT be walking around in the cold for miles...), Luke and I enjoyed being kids again!
These pictures were taken on our way to the Vatican!  The weather was slightly warmer in Rome then it was in England; and the sun was out as well.  This was a welcomed relief to us, as we were coming from grey skies.

The Christmas tree was still up.  There was also a nativity scene set up.

My good friend advised me before I left,
"don't forget to look up!"

Luke was being an excellent photographer during our trip.  In this photographic moment he was backing up with the camera to get the best shot possible.  As he was doing this, he nearly took out an older man.  That didn't stop this photographer though, he continued backing up, almost knocking the mans wife over.  This explains my expression.  Never a dull moment!

If you look in the top right of the picture you may be able to see the lights that were strung.  They were in Italian colors.  Sometimes pictures don't do justice to how it actually looks in person.

This was a market right outside our hotel.  It was really fun to look around there!
